We’ve set up the Iceguys group to encourage men to give cold water swimming a try. Cold water therapy can benefit us in many ways, from physical health to mental health, as well as the friendships that form from the shared experience of open water swimming.

‼️**PLEASE READ**‼️
This is a free and non profit weekly event - these dips are ‘social dips’ which means that we do not provide safety cover or insurance for those taking part.
All participants are responsible for their own safety and go in the water at their own risk. You are strongly advised not take part if you are feeling unwell, have an injury and/or your immune system is lower than usual.
Be aware that the sea state can change very quickly. It is recommended to download apps such as ‘My Tide Times’ and ‘Magic Seaweed’ - check whether the tide is coming in or going out - and be aware of strong offshore winds - within MSW it is advised to take extra care when the forecast shows strong winds from the West - also look out for wave height - though not always accurate, Magic Seaweed does give a good idea of how big the waves are going to be.
Conditions change and abilities vary, and the ‘safe swim zones’ can change over time.
Only enter the water if you feel confident and that it is safe to do so - even the strongest swimmers can get into trouble so please respect the sea and it’s conditions. You are advised to never swim alone.
